Biographies:
Priya Misra
Priya Misra is a Managing Director and Global Head of Rates Strategy at TD Securities. Based in New York, Priya is responsible for the macro calls on the U.S. and global interest rate markets, and provides investment advice to clients. She publishes regular research on interest rates, discussing secular trends as well as trade ideas and manages a model portfolio of recommendations. Her team includes analysts in New York, Toronto, London, and Singapore. Priya represents TD at the Fed's Alternative Reference Rate Committee (ARRC) and is actively involved in the transition from Libor to SOFR.
Prior to joining TD Securities in September 2015, Priya led U.S. Rates Strategy Research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for six years. Between 2001 and 2009, Priya worked at Lehman Brothers as a US Rate Strategist, Barclays Capital as a Mortgage Strategist and Nomura Securities as Head of U.S. Rates Strategy. Priya was ranked in the top three for U.S. Government Strategy and Federal Agency Debt Strategy in the Institutional Investor's All-America Fixed Income Research team surveys for 2014 and 2015, and from 2003 to 2008. She was ranked top five in the Agency Debt category in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She has been a contributor to industry textbooks and appears regularly in the media. Priya is also frequently cited in the financial press. Priya graduated from the Lady Sri Ram College, University of Delhi, with a bachelor's degree in economics. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in management, majoring in finance, from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Alex Fishbein
Alex Fishbein is a Director and Desk Strategist for MBS/CMO Trading. Alex has broad experience in MBS research, trading and portfolio management and brings that perspective to MBS relative value strategy and prepayment modeling at TD. Previously, Alex was a portfolio manager in Agency MBS for nine years, at Millennium Management and Citi Capital Advisors. Earlier in his career he ran mortgage quantitative analytics at UBS/Paine Webber and traded IO/POs at Morgan Stanley. Away from his career in MBS, Alex Fishbein is also known for being a chess grandmaster.
Nicholas Letica
Nicholas Letica is Managing Director of Structured Product Trading at TD Securities in New York. He has 30 years of experience in mortgage-backed securities trading, portfolio management, sales and research. Prior to his current position, Mr. Letica was a senior portfolio manager at Cello Capital, a hedge fund in New York, with responsibility for managing portfolios of agency MBS, CMBS, and CMOs. Prior to Cello Capital, Mr. Letica was a Managing Director in mortgage sales at Citigroup, and earlier in his career held senor trading positions in MBS and CMOs at Bear Stearns, Deutsche Bank and HSBC. He began his career in finance as a fixed-income research analyst at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Letica has an engineering degree from The Johns Hopkins University and was employed as a software engineer prior to his career in finance.
