June 19 Start of the 2017 Election of Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago Member and Independent Directors. Nomination certificates are mailed to eligible member institutions in the voting states for 2017.
July 21 Member Director nomination deadline. Nomination certificates must be received at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago by July 21, 2017.
July 21 Independent Director application deadline. All applications for independent directorship must be received at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago by July 21, 2017.
September 8 Member Director nominee acceptance deadline. Candidates running for election must return the completed Member Director Eligibility Form to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago by September 8, 2017.
September 15 Independent Director nominees will be confirmed. Applicants who submitted applications for independent directorship will be notified of ballot placement determination.
September 25 Approximate date when Member and Independent Director ballots will be mailed by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago to eligible member institutions in the designated voting states for 2017.
November 3 Voting deadline. Ballots must be received at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago by November 3, 2017.
November 17 The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago announces the results of the 2017 Election of Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago Member and Independent Directors. Statewide election results, including the total number of votes received by each candidate on the ballot, will be emailed to member institutions.
