Introducing the Community Small Business Advance

Support your local economy and community revitalization efforts with the new Community Small Business Advance from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago). Beginning on Monday, July 23, 2018, FHLBank Chicago members can access a Community Small Business Advance with initial 0% financing to support small business lending in income-eligible communities in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Eligible small businesses include, but are not limited to: 
  • agricultural operations
  • commercial, service, or retail operations
  • hospitality and recreation-based businesses
  • internet-related businesses
  • social service providers
  • small-scale industrial and manufacturing operations
  • trades
  • professional services

In order to qualify, a FHLBank Chicago member must complete the Community Small Business Advance application and demonstrate the eligibility of the small business as outlined in the application. Member limits apply to the type, amount, and maturity of each related advance. The application will be available online on Monday, July 23.
