Sean O'Brien

Sean O’Brien has over 20 years of experience in affordable housing and community lending. In 2020, he joined Northpointe Development Corporation to help grow the firm’s Midwest and National affordable housing portfolio. Since joining, Northpointe has added over 1,000 affordable housing units to their portfolio across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Colorado. Prior to joining Northpointe Development, Mr. O’Brien worked at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) for 14 years. During the last six years of his tenure he was the Director of Commercial Lending. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and previously served on the FHLBank Chicago’s Community Investment Advisory Council from 2016-2019.
