The primary way we provide funding to our members is through secured loans, known as advances. Our members use our advance products to support their funding needs while optimizing liquidity to fund lending in their communities.

Mortgage Partnership Finance® (MPF®) Program
The MPF Program offers FHLBank Chicago members access to the secondary mortgage market. With competitive pricing, various risk-sharing structures, and the option to retain servicing, we enable members to better serve their mortgage borrowers.

Our Downpayment Plus (DPP®) and Downpayment Plus Advantage® (DPP Advantage®) programs offer Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago members easy-to-access down payment and closing cost assistance to help their income-eligible customers achieve homeownership.
